The Cartography and GIS unit currently consists of 13 employees who work with geographical data in various forms; cartography, measurement, and GIS.

All of us in the department are constantly working on the development and improvement of our operations. We aim to be at the forefront and test new solutions and ideas to work smarter.

The role of the survey engineer primarily involves working on the production of new construction maps. You will work through the entire process for each new construction map, which includes administrative work, searches in the Land Survey's records, field measurement work, and cartography.

Other tasks may include:

• property investigations to improve property boundaries in the register map
• boundary demarcations
• position checks
• staking
• measurement for base maps
• updating the municipality's map database
• other measurement assignments internally in the municipality

Fieldwork is performed with GNSS and total stations. A large part of the work is carried out independently, both in the field and in the office. Some of the fieldwork is conducted on islands in the archipelago.

You will be part of a team of four survey engineers, who have similar tasks.

We are looking for someone with at least three years of experience working as a survey engineer. Desirable work experiences include:

• municipal surveying
• new construction maps
• property investigations
• boundary demarcations
• position checks
• staking
• primary maps
• photogrammetric mapping
• drone pilot

Desirable experiences:

• Topocad
• Experience in reading and interpreting Land Survey records.

A B driver's license for manual transmission is required.

As a person, you are structured, efficient, and can work independently. You will be part of a team of survey engineers, so it is important that you are good at collaborating and exchanging experiences with your colleagues.
